Wrightsman - Alonzo

Alonzo Wrightsman, aged about 55 years was found dead at his home, 1007 E. Wabash Avenue late yesterday afternoon. Coroner CW Howard was called and foun that the man had died from heart trouble and acute indigestion. The body was found about 6 o'clock by Dick Boyer, a nephew who has been living with the decedent. Mr. Wrightsman was seen by neighbors about 4 o'clock yesterday and evidently had died, alone, soon afterward. He was found lying on the floor with his pipe clenched in one hand. Boyer notified the police and the body was removed to the Hunt & Nash undertaking rooms where it was viewed by the coroner. Wrightsman had been employed as a laborer in this city for many years. Mr. Wrightsman had lived here since he was about 18. He was a son of James and Eliza Wrightsman and was born in Boone County. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, one son and three brothers, John, Charles and David and one sister, Abigail. Funeral arrangements had not been made late last night. Note: According to Indiana Death Certificate Local # 3, Alonzo Wrightsman was born May 10, 1861 and only 51 years 7 months and 30 days old. He was divorced from Flora Wrightsman. He was born in Boone County, son of James Wrightsman born Ohio and Eliza Kennedy born in Ohio. He wasa buried in Indianapolis but no cemetery listed. Flora gave the information. - kbz
